Book Cover Design for “Fruits of Love” (Shirley Tappin, 2024)

This compilation tells the story of a well known Trinidadian Family, and of the importance of the family unit and values in strengthening the fabric of society. Thirty four selected poems written by Barnabas Ramon Fortune are woven throughout the compilation, as well as two of his short stories written in different decades of his life, and the result is an overall story that is interesting, touching and nostalgic.

The watercolor/mixed media design of the cover is meant to convey the ephemeral nostalgic themes of the information within, tied together with simple, elegant typography emulating the feeling of ink strokes.
